Our Board of Advisors is comprised of volunteer members who are dedicated to advancing the mission of the Albany Therapeutic Riding Center, Inc. Each strives to assist in key operating areas of ATRC including but not limited to: volunteer recruitment, fundraising/fund sourcing, publicity and media, community outreach, event planning, administration and paperwork, and other activities. Board members meet monthly to discuss new and ongoing business items. New energy and talent is always welcome.

Board Committees
FINANCE COMMITTEE: ATRC's Finance Committee consists of a combination of Board members and staff. The Finance Committee is responsible for future planning, budgeting, authorizing program changes, and makes sure all committees and board members are communicating effectively. The Finance Committee is a closed group at this moment in time.
FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE: ATRC's Fundraising Committee is responsible for anything and everything fundraising related! From event organizing, to clothing sales, to raffle baskets and silent auction items, the fundraising committee does it all. This is group consists of board members, staff, and volunteers and is open to anyone who is interested in helping out! If you have an interest or talent in raising money for non-profits, please reach out to us at [email protected] to inquire! COMMUNITY OUTREACH COMMITTEE: ATRC's Community Outreach committee is responsible for the education, connection, and networking of our organization with the surrounding communities. From local schools, the surrounding universities, new stations/newspapers, and the local horse community, the Outreach Committee spreads the word about ATRC and facilitates program collaboration. This committee is open to everyone and consists of board members, staff, and volunteers. GOVERNANCE COMMITTE: In charge of the development and implementation of all board policies and procedures as well as the procurement of new board members. Members- Kelly Magnuson, Kate Fitzpatrick
FACILITIES COMMITTEE: Oversees that the staff and facility have everything they need to operate. Makes sure the equipment needed is provided, the proper contracts are in place for maintenance, snow plowing, lawncare, etc. Develops and implements new and sustainable methods to dispose of byproducts, waste, etc. Members- Paul Aloy, Dr. Carlin Jones, Joe Guy, Kate Carlson, Anne Tarpinian, Andy Tarpinian
Grants Committee: ATRC's newly formed Grants Committee works together to find appropriate grants, gathers the programmatic information needed, and collectively writes and submits grant proposals to help substidize the funding needed to care for the staff and herd of our program. We are always looking for support in this section of non profit funding, if you are interested in joining our Grants Committee please reach out to Taylor at [email protected]
