A great way to donate is to "adopt" a horse. Your donation will be used to provide food, veterinary care, farrier care, and other services to a horse at Albany Therapeutic Riding Center. Horses are the foundation of our center and your support of them is important. Taking care of our horses can be expensive, around $5,000 per horse for a full year to be exact! Your donation will help to cover monthly feed costs, veterinary care, farrier appointments, hay costs, and supplement purchases for the horse you have "adopted." Thank you for helping care for our amazing herd!
"Adopting" a lesson horse to sponsor is $100/ month at the minimum.
You can choose to sponsor in one of three ways:
-Monthly for $100/ month
-Six month sponsorship for a one time sponsorship fee of $550
-12 month sponsorship for a one time sponsorship fee of $1,000
Please note that while you do not get ownership rights to the horse as part of your adoption, your donation goes a long way toward the ongoing care and maintenance for the horses.
Please specify in the memo field on your check which animal you wish to adopt: Elsa, Tanner, Music, Blue, Apollo, Nova, Opie, Elvis, June, Jerry, Oscar, or general adoption. We'll send you (or that special someone if a gift) an adoption certificate! Please be sure to indicate in your donation that this is an adoption and include the adopter's name and mailing address.
