Our Facilities

Located in Altamont, New York, Albany Therapeutic Riding Center’s facility is designed to support safe, consistent, and high-quality therapeutic riding year-round. Each space is thoughtfully utilized to meet the needs of riders, volunteers, and staff, creating an environment that is both functional and welcoming.

Our current property allows us to expand access to our programs while maintaining the level of care and attention each participant deserves.

What Our Facility Includes

ATRC’s Forever Home at 6640 Fuller Station Road offers:

75 x 150 indoor arena with a heated reception area, main office, and restroom
10-stall barn with wash stall, two grooming stall, two tack rooms, utility room, and restroom
75 x 200 outdoor arena
50 x 100 outdoor schooling area
Large grass paddocks with run-in sheds for full-day turnout
These spaces allow us to run programs year-round and provide a consistent experience for every rider.

ATRC moved to its current property in June 2021, marking an important step forward for the organization. The purchase was made possible through the generosity of the Gleason family and the support of a committed community of donors and advocates.

This move allowed ATRC to expand its programming and better serve the Capital Region. The launch of the Forever Home Capital Campaign helped support the transition, and in 2022, the remaining mortgage was fully forgiven. Those funds have since been reinvested into maintaining the facility and supporting the care of our horses.

Rooted in History, Built for the Future

Before relocating, ATRC operated for nearly 40 years on Martin Road in Voorheesville. That property shaped the foundation of the program and holds lasting memories for many in the community.

As the organization grew, so did the need for a space that could better support its programs and long-term vision. Today’s facility reflects that growth, while carrying forward the same mission and commitment that began decades ago.
