"I was born and raised in Upstate NY, ju
st outside of Saratoga. I've always loved horses and they've been a part of my life for a long time. It didn't take long for me to start asking for my own, and my family and I have been extremely lucky to call Chance ours for almost 8 years. Having known Taylor for nearly as long as I've ridden, I've seen ATRC grow from the ground up. And seeing the happiness that horses can bring other people has been what's drawn me to become an instructor! Outside of horses, I love painting and drawing, writing, and playing video games with my friends. But now that I've graduated from community college, I've been able to dive back into my love for horses and have found a way to share that love. I look forward to meeting everyone and helping provide a safe space for anyone experience the joy of horses!"

Teri Benson- Weekday Stable Hand

Teri discovered ATRC while looking for therapeutic riding sessions for her son and not long after he started she began volunteering with lessons as a side walker and leader. Having worked as a Veterinary Technician for over 20 years, Teri has experience with animals of all kinds and really enjoys the opportunity to spend time with the horses. In addition to helping with lessons she started volunteering with barn chores and was a natural fit for the stable hand position. Teri lives with her husband of 23 years, their two teenagers and 2 dogs and 2 cats. She also enjoys photography (especially animals), hiking/walking, camping, softball and spending time with family.

Emma Testa- Weekend Stable Hand

"I currently attend college at SUNY Cobleskill and am in the Canine Training and Management program there! After college, I plan to go into training service dogs for people using the knowledge I gained from my degree. As for my involvement with horses, I’ve been around them since I was very little. My aunt owns horses that I would visit every now and then, but around 12 years old I started taking lessons riding western. Around 2 years in I switched over to English and have been riding that discipline ever since! Somewhere along that journey I began leasing my wonderfully sweet gelding, Rowen, who I’m still with to this day. I look forward to every weekend I spend at ATRC, and am excited for many more to come!"
